Festival Hours 6AM-10PM

6:30 AM:

The Festival starts early Saturday June 14th with FFA serving breakfast at 6:30AM.

 

8AM:

The Jimmy Stewart Memorial 3/3 Basketball Tournament is returning for another great year of basketball during the upcoming Crothersville Red, White & Blue Festival. Question regarding the tournament or to sign up a team can be done by contacting Chad Wilson at 812-530-1181.

 

8:30AM:

The CHS Class of 2016 will hold a 5K Run/Walk in front of the main entrance of the school beginning at 8:30AM. The age  groups are Youth 1: 10-14 years of age, Youth 2: 15-18 years of age , Adult Male: 19-39 years of age , Adult Female: 19-39 years of age , Adult Male: 40+ years , and Adult Female: 40+ years. You will be running on a flat terrain which is exceptionally nice for running.  This course takes you through the many different parts of Crothersville. You will be provided with drinks at the mid point of the race and snacks at the end. There will also be door prizes at the end. 

 

 

9AM:

At 9AM entries for the Pie & Cake contest can be submitted in the lobby entrance of the main gymnasium until 10:30AM. Categories for the pies are fruit, cream, your specialty, and cobblers. For the cakes the categories are; Layer, Sheet, decorated, and your specialty. Judging will begin at 10:30. Winners will be announced from the stage at 5:30PM with a raffle to follow. Sarah Cole is in charge of this event and it's open to everyone. She encourages everyone, even men, to show off their baking skills. Proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the Jackson County Nursing Home Veterans Cheer Baskets.

 

11AM:

The photo contest will return this year with entries being accepted from 11AM to 1PM. Judging will take place at 1:30PM. Categories are, nature, family, patriotic, and life in Vernon Twp. Photos will be on display throughout the day in the photo booth located across from the main entrance of the high school. Participants may pick up their photo that evening from 6 to 8PM. Winners will be announced at 5:30PM from the stage.

 

12PM:

Fun for the kids start at noon with the Pet & Bike Parade. Participants will line up in front of the stage. Children are encouraged to docorate their bike or bring their favorite pet.

 

Registration for the 39th Crothersville Red, White, & Blue Festival Parade begins at noon on East Street. Local Lions Club will organize the parade. A map of the Parade route will be posted soon. The Parade will begin at 4PM.

 

12:30PM:

A local favorite for the youth, The Lasting Hope will entertain the crowd starting at 12:30PM.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2PM:

Cece and Friends will be center stage at 2PM.

 

4PM:

The Parade begins!

 

Immediatly following the parade, the winners of the photo contest and the Pie & Cake contest will be announced followed by the desserts being raffled off by auctioneer Terry Prine.

 

6PM:

Hill Billy Rush country rock band will perform at 6PM.

 

7PM:

After Hill Billy Rush, Paul Boggs will perform.

 

 

 

 

 

8PM:

A band is to be annouced for this time slot.

 

At 8:45PM the drawings for the various booth raffles will be announced from the stage. Winners will be able to take their prizes home.

 

Zambelli Fireworks has designed a patriotic fireworks show starting with a community countdown at 10PM from the Bard Street Park. Preferred Viewing Area's will be the elementary parking lot and along East Street in the grass area between the baseball and softball diamonds. You can find more information on the Fireworks Page! Throughout the festival the Antique Farm Machinary Show will take place along Howard Street. Kevin Hoevener is organizing the event which promises to be one of the biggest displays in southern Indiana.
